We have achieved the status of Goggle Advertising Professionals by successfully completing a course and exam with Goggle. Great, but what does that mean? It means we are now able to advise business more effectively on managing their AdWords accounts and look to reduce client's spend whilst improving ROI, making Goggle AdWords more effective.
The course is an intensive online elearning course that looks at every aspect of Google AdWords, the most popular online paid advertising system in the World. There is then an exam, during which you need to achieve 80% or more.
We now fully understand how to create, manage and report successful and profitable campaigns for businesses using Google AdWords, Google Analytics, Google Maps and a whole host of other Google tools. We are now confident we can reduce ad spend on AdWords whilst improving performance and return on investment.

The Future of Online Marketing

We are pleased to announce that we will be working with Blackburn College in the next term to offer their Business Studies Students online marketing lectures. The lectures will be held at our home at the Blackburn Enterprise Centre for between eight and ten students at a time.
Institute of Directors

We are pleased to announce that on Friday 29th August 2008, copycatweb Limited Managing Director, Craig Taylor was successfully elected to the Institute of Directors at their monthly elections.
Craig says, "The IoD limit membership on specific criteria such as business turnover and a number of years experience in running a Limited Company so being accepted was a proud moment after having managed copycatweb and copycatweb Limited for over eight years."
The IoD holds regular events, informative training and offers a high level of peer advice and support through a local and national network. We hope that this association will help us to offer better advice to our clients and give us access to experienced advisors that will ultimately benefit the business and our customers.

Internet shopping is growing at the fastest rate in six years, defying the gloom on the high street. Online spending on retail purchases rose by 35% to £14.7 billion last year as the number of UK Internet shoppers rose to 22.6 million, according to Verdict research.
Freight Link

We have been commissioned to create a complex mapping, database and booking system for Freight Link of Preston. Freight Link specialise in managing the ferry requirements of manufacturers, hauliers and couriers and last year made over 20,000 bookings. We have been asked to create a Flash mapping system that allows site visitors to choose routes visually then drill down to specific sailings and book online, in real time via connections to major operators such as Norfolk Line and P&O Ferries. We are excited about this project which could prove to be one of the most challenging and interesting projects we have undertaken.
Creativity Works

We were short listed for an innovation award for uCenseo, our online survey software by Creativity Works / Creative Lancashire. Unfortunately at the event on 22nd May in Blackburn, we came second. However at least we got to the final two!!
InternetWorld 2008

We recently attended the InternetWorld 2008 exhibition at Earls Court in London from 30th April to 1st May to officially launch our ThingyMail email marketing service.
SPAMALOT

Everybody hates SPAM. It really is the curse of email. It is also a problem if yo have an order form or enquiry form on your Website. You will probably have seen rogue email enquiries coming through where it appears somebody called 23rywi78s689@jwtye.ru has emailed you a hole list of links? This is email SPAM through your online forms and can be very annoying.
So, how do you stop this? Even the best ISP's still struggle with SPAM. It is a delicate balance between stopping all SPAM and inadvertently stopping genuine email. We are please to announce that we are now able to offer Managed Exchange which gives you all the functionality of your Outlook program but is available anywhere you have an Internet connection.
